Alvarez dual lens

Alvarez Dual Lens is a technology that allows the creation of easily adjustable eyeware, usable without the need for a medical prescription. While in the Adaptive Eyecare post we introduce the technology based on flexible membranes, here we can see a technology that uses two different wave-shapes lenses. Changing their reciprocal position a lens with a different power can be obtained, in order to suit best the vision problems. In the figure a simple explanation of the working system is visible.

The power of this project is to allow the end user to adjust his/her own glasses, even without a medical prescription. This is mainly thought for contexts with scarce resources and potential shared uses.
